Getting started with Quite Imposing Plus (Windows)

Note: run SETUP.EXE in this folder to take care of steps 2 and 3.

1. Make sure you have what you need

You should have a disk or folder containing Quite Imposing Plus
for Windows, and unless you only want to run a demonstration,
you should have a your personal serial number and private code.
You should be running Windows 95 or later (including Windows 98,
Me, NT4, 2000, XP). You should have installed the full commercial
Acrobat 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 or 7.0 package. Make sure Acrobat is not running.

2. Find the plug-ins folder

Starting with your My Computer icon, locate the folder
containing Acrobat plug-ins. If you haven't changed
the default it will be
c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 4.0\acrobat\plug_ins for Acrobat 4.0,
c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 5.0\acrobat\plug_ins for Acrobat 5.0,
c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 6.0\acrobat\plug_ins for Acrobat 6.0,
c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 7.0\acrobat\plug_ins for Acrobat 7.0.

3. Copy the plug-in and guide

Open the folder containing Quite Imposing Plus. On the original
Quite CDROM this is English\Products\Quite Imposing Plus.
Drag all the files whose names start QIPLUS2 from the disk into the
plug-ins folder. Note that you must drag the files individually,
do not drag the folder. Remove the disk.

4. Start Acrobat

If all is well, you will now have a new menu item Plug-ins >
Quite Imposing Plus 2 > Imposition control panel. Run this and,
unless you are already a licensed user, you will see a screen
About Quite Imposing Plus. Click Run Demo to proceed, or Help
to start reading the online guide.

If you want to stop using the plug-in simply remove the
QIPLUS2 files you copied above.
